Data collected

The site collects personal data only through the following forms:

  • Contact — name, email address, subject and message content. A code sent to your address is used to confirm it; it is only kept as a hash, for 10 minutes at most.
  • GG-Dev training registration request — name, email address, phone, country of residence, optional level and message. For an online training, the session link is sent by email and, only if you agreed, by WhatsApp (a Meta service) to the number given.
  • GG-Dev membership application — name, contact details, country and city, status and field of study or work, skills, branches of interest, introduction, motivation, and confirmation of the mandatory criteria of the articles of association (art. 8).
  • Personal account (optional) — name, email address, password (stored only as a hash, never in plain text), the date the address was verified and the account status (active or suspended). The verification code sent by email is only kept as a hash, for 10 minutes at most.
  • Reviews (optional) — rating, review text and the training concerned. A review is only published with your consent and after approval by an administrator; only your first name and last initial appear on the site.

No date of birth, identity document or sensitive data is requested. The IP address is used temporarily to limit abusive submissions.

For the site's security, some sensitive actions (logins, failed logins, account creation, address verification, decisions on requests) are recorded in a security log with the date, the IP address and the identifier of the account concerned. This log contains neither passwords nor the content of your messages.

Purpose and legal basis

This data is used only to process your request: replying to you, reviewing your training registration or membership application, and informing you of the decision. Processing is based on your consent, given by ticking the box provided before sending.

Retention period

  • Contact messages: 12 months at most. A message whose address has not been confirmed is deleted after 24 hours. The replies we send you from our administration, and the emails you send back to us, are kept with your message and deleted at the same time.
  • Training registration requests: 24 months at most.
  • Rejected or withdrawn membership applications: 12 months at most after the decision. Applications under review and those of members are kept as long as necessary.
  • Security log: 12 months maximum.
  • Email delivery log (date, type, recipient, result): 24 months at most, and deleted together with the related request.
  • Personal account: until it is deleted, which you can do yourself from your account area.
  • Reviews: until you remove them from your personal space, or until your account is deleted.

This data is then deleted automatically.

Recipients

This data is never sold, transferred or published on the site. Only administrators can access it (and, for GG-Dev, the members in charge of reviewing requests, bound to confidentiality by article 20 of the articles of association); it passes through the email service used for notifications.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses neither advertising cookies nor third-party analytics. Only strictly necessary technical cookies are set: the session cookie and the forms’ security token (CSRF protection). Your light or dark theme choice is remembered in your browser (local storage) and is never sent to the server.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing through the contact form. You can also contact the data protection authority in your country.
